I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Amsterdam. I am an empirical microeconomist with research interests in health economics and the economics of education. My advisors are Hessel Oosterbeek and Bas van der Klaauw.
My work focuses on discrimination and diversity in the public sector, particularly in higher education and healthcare. Using administrative and survey data from the Netherlands and Norway, I employ quasi-experimental methods to examine how institutions contribute to unequal treatment of women and migrants, and how exposure to diversity influences native populations.
